Micro Needling (PRP)

Micro needling involves puncturing the skin with small needles. Skin is  numbed before treatment to eliminate or at least decrease pain and discomfort. A  penlike tool us used is to insert tiny stainless-steel needles into the skin to cause microinjuries or punctures. Collagen production occurs.

Micro needling helps with:

  • Acne scars

  • Fine lines

  • Wrinkles

  • Enlarged pores

  • Hyperpigmentation and sunspots

  • Lost elasticity

  • Uneven skin textures

  • Stretch marks

  • Uneven skin tones

Hair Restoration (PRP)

Hair and Restoration

At Oasis HealthCare Lounge we utilize non-surgical solutions for both male and female hair loss. PRP or Platelet Rich Plasma helps your own hair follicles become larger, fuller, and healthier. This gives you fuller and thicker hair. It is recommended to have a minimum of three PRP treatments one month apart for optimal results.

How does this treatment work?

PRP is a procedure using your own blood to obtain a concentrated amount of platelets and vital growth factors. Blood is collected from a vein in the arm and placed in a special centrifuge. The scalp is prepped and topical numbing medicine is applied. Using a small needle, PRP is injected into the areas with thinning hair. There is minimal discomfort associated with this procedure. PRP is beneficial for hair growth by stimulating and revitalizing hair follicles through the body’s natural growth factors and signaling proteins.

Benefits of PRP for hair include:

    •    Simple and safe procedure

    •    Quick recovery time

    •    Lower cost compared to surgical procedures

    •    Regenerative benefits

    •    Natural looking results

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER PRP TREATMENT

Since PRP therapy isn’t surgery, there’s very little downtime required afterward. Your scalp might be tender and swollen for a few days after the treatment but you’ll most likely be able to go to work or do other regular activities. If you feel any discomfort, take Tylenol rather than ibuprofen or aspirin, during those first few days. NSAIDs like aspirin can thin the blood and potentially affect your results.

It can take some time before you see a noticeable improvement in your hair loss after PRP therapy. Individual results will vary but you can generally expect to notice an improvement within three to six months after your first treatment.

It’s usually a good idea to schedule multiple therapy sessions, spaced about a month apart. Your first three sessions can be one month apart, then your fourth session can be six months later. Many people decide to undergo PRP therapy on an annual or semi-annual basis to maintain their results.
